What God Sees

God not only knows our heart’s intents, but He sees all we do. This brief Bible study gives an idea what God sees in us.

God sees man’s sin.  Almost every incident involving sin in the Bible verifies that God clearly sees man’s iniquities. He sees the sins of individuals, cities, and nations!
“I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness [indecent in a sexual way] of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields [idolartry]. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?” Jer. 13:27
“Your iniquities [sins], and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains [idolatry], and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.” Isa 65:7
“Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.” Lam. 1:8 God knew they sinned because He saw it.
“13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err …” Jer 23:13-14 God saw them worshipping another “god”.
“I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom [idolatry] of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.” Hosea 6:10

God sees and knows the condition of our hearts!
“And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked [stubborn, do-it-their-own-way-and-not-God’s] people:” Ex. 32:9  Also: Deut. 9:13.

God sees those that oppress us and knows of our heartaches:
“And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.” Gen. 31:12 God saw what Laban did to Jacob.
“And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;” Ex. 3:7  God saw the oppression of Israel in Egypt, and heard their pleas for His deliverance. Also: Ex. 3:9, 16.
“Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.”  II King 20:5  He sees our tears, and hears our prayers.
“I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.” Acts 7:34

God sees how we worship Him.
“Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.” Jer. 7:11 Also: Mat. 21:13.

God sees our righteousness. He not only sees our iniquities, but He sees our obedience to his commandments and our attempts of living righteously.
“And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.” Gen. 7:1
